Episode 2 – Kshemaka Gunawardena

BTD Episode 2 - Kshemaka Gunawardena

In this episode, I interview Kshemaka Gunawardena, who is a senior Microbiology and Immunology student at the University of British Columbia.

He shares his experience in the program at UBC; discussing the most challenging parts, the culture, and his advice for success. He outlines the steps he took to get a WorkLearn position on Campus, and how it may have helped secure his Coop position at Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research in Montreal. I also breakdown all his extracurriculars through university, and ask about his experience in BIOMOD, which took him and his team to Tokyo, Japan for a club competition.
